Welcome to my website.  I'm grateful that you decided to visit.

I've been querying publishing agents and waiting patiently for responses.  Book publishing, I'm learning, is a very subjective business.  The agent writer relationship I guess, has to be like a good marriage.  It's all about the match.  I'm an odd ball, perhaps, a nonconformist, maybe, and I wonder is my book a reflection of the same.  What's the worst thing that can happen if  I am deemed unsuitable?  I self publish?  We'll see what 2021 brings. No matter, traditionally or independently, OF SCHOOL AND WOMEN, a work of narrative nonfiction is coming soon.  Meanwhile, I wait and swing savagely between hope and disappointment.

I'm reminded now of a quote from my book:

Going to school and earning a degree, Marie, is like picking on a glacier.  Every day, you get up, grab your pick and hack at the ice and one day you know you'll look down, and there won't be any picking left, and the glacier will be gone." Lynette

Quote Mark

The above words say it all.  If you're going to school or trying to publish a book, it's all about persisting, believing, and working everyday.  And I believe there are readers for every book. I just have to find you.

I'd love to know what you think about Chapter 1 from OF SCHOOL AND WOMEN
